Google is going to launch
a renewed assault on your television set, known as Android TV,
according to documents received by The Verge. There are many video
app providers developing for this platform as it sounds like a
semantic difference. Google TV based on Android, but has some
different functionality. Android TV is a crazy attempt to turn your
TV into a bigger, more powerful smart device. Google says, "Android
TV is an entertainment interface, not a computing platform. It’s
all about finding and enjoying content with the least amount of
friction." It will be "cinematic, fun, fluid, and fast."
It simply means that Android TV will seem like the rest of the setup boxes available in the market like Amazon’s Fire TV, Apple TV, and Roku. The latest version of Google is less ambitious and easier to understand. Moreover, developers are called by the company for creating simple TV apps for an extremely simple set-top-box interface.
Users can also use a
remote control with a four-way directional pad for scrolling left and
right through various suggestions, up and down via different
categories of content, each with their own shelves. Just like other
setup box, this one also has a small movie poster or book cover, and
you will pick the one you want. Enter, Home, and Back buttons are
added in the controller that helps to get around, and there will be
"optional" game controllers.
Voice input and notifications are support in Android TV, though Google is also encouraging developers to utilize only notifications in very limited cases. Overall, Android TV is one of the best products that seem like Amazon's just-released, Android-based Fire TV. If you want to know more about Android TV, then stay tuned with us.
