The information about the
specs, hardware and swappable watch bands of Moto 360 smartwatch has
leaked online although Motorola Mobility tries to put cover on its
details before releasing. Motorola has only said that the latest
smartwatch has a circular design powered by Android Wear and will not
have USB or any other ports. The release date is sometime “this
summer.”
Looking at the picture of
latest smartwatch, we come to know the Moto 360 watch’s band
options, including many different colored leathers. In previous
image, we showed the Moto 360 in a steel band, and in brown leather.
According to some sources, it seems that leather bands for the Moto
360 will be offered by Motorola in many different colors like white,
light green, shades of brown and so on.
Motorola has not
announced the price of the Moto 360 smartwatch, although, we are
thankful to the premium steel case that encloses the watch and
inclusion of leather and steel bands. It is expected that the cost of
Moto 360 is higher or equivalent to, its smartphones. If we are
looking at the LG G Watch design, we find that it created with more
plastic and glass rather than metal in its body.
Rumor also says that
Motorola us to using sapphire for the Moto 360 watch’s face, as
opposed to cheap things like Corning Inc’s Gorilla Glass. It is
featured an OLED screen that costs more than other LCD technologies.
As the screen will have to be specially made, it can be easily
connected to the round design of the Moto 360.
It is rumored that
Motorola releases its smartwatch with only one band that allows
customers to select their style at the approximate cost of $329 and
up. The Moto 360 will not transmit through metallic materials that is
why, Motorola selected plastic. Furthermore, solar or self-winding
chargers could be used by Motorola to supplement wireless charging in
the Moto 360, and thus, increasing in amount of battery life. Let’s
wait and see what Motorola brings for its users in Smartwatch.
