EE Reveals its Own ‘Eagle’ Tablet, new MiFi Devices and Plans

One of the leading and most popular UK mobile operators ‘EE’ has launched a range of new devices that comprises a Mifi unit especially designed for in-car use, its first ever own tablet and new 4G plans. Along with the news that finally 4G customer signups have overhauled the number of 3G customers signing up under the Orange or T-Mobile brands, these new devices were also declared by the company.


The company already declared a 4G smart-phone, and the company is launching a tablet with 4G. It is one of the leading UK operators that have declared a brand new 8-inch tablet that is called the Eagle and costs 199 quid.

Since the service first introduced in the market (18 months ago), EE has signed up 3.6 million 4G customers, and all those 4G users are consuming five times more data compare to 3G users. The company also has to make the service obtainable to more of the country to attract lots of new customers. Currently covering 72% of the UK market, it is an ongoing process that sees the network.

Eagle – A Tablet
A first own-brand tablet ‘The Eagle’ has been launched by the operator though it sticks with the tried-and-tested technique to make minimal changes to a while label Huawei product. When it comes to discuss about the tablet’s features, it is one such tablet that comes with 8-inch display, 1.6GHz quad-core processor, 5-megapixel camera and 16GB of internal storage.

Moreover, this tablet will supports with microSD cards and comes with the little older Android Jelly Bean OS instead of new KitKat version. Furthermore, the company will offer a complete range of plans as well £15 per month plus £49.99 up-front or for £199 on PAYG.

Along with the network announcements, EE has also declared lots of new MiFi devices that mainly aim at different users and own-brand Huawei-made tablet. Kestrel also started the birds of prey themed naming convention that is continued all over the new devices, with the Buzzard being the first of the company’s in-car products, EE CEO Olaf Swantee said.

Moreover, the dongle is going to support up to 10 devices concurrently, and it comes with a 12v charger so that users can plug into a car cigarette lighter socket and a cup-sized container, thus it sits warmly. From May 28, it will be obtainable and costs £49.99 on pay-as-you-go (PAYG) or from £10 per month and £19 up-front on EE’s newly introduced 4G WiFi plans.
