Office 365 Android SDK Introduced by Microsoft for Developers

Fulfilling its promise to "brings Office 365 Apps to Life", the SDK for the Android version of Office 365 is launched by Microsoft that enables developers to plug their own apps into Office 365 and enjoy advantage of data and various APIs.


Talking about the SDK, it is an open source project that is available from the MS Open Tech Hub and should helpful for promoting Office 365 as a mobile office tool. It is one type of modular and can be available in three various packages.

With its base package, one can get interaction with mail, calendar and contacts in Exchange while other two requires accessing files and lists in SharePoint. Security is its strong point and developers have to download the AAD Android library Preview for generating access tokens to Windows Azure Active Directory.

Uncountable numbers of tokens are available for helping with getting started. Moreover, different plans are also releasing another SDK that will provide access to the discovery API, although there is no proper information when it will introduce.

The Office 365 SDK is available for download and is supportable with Android 4.0.3, 4.1.2, 4.2.2, 4.3 and 4.4.2. Check out link below:
