Microsoft to Bring Android Applications on Windows Phone

To make Windows Phone more popular and powerful, Microsoft is trying its every effort as recently it comes to know that the company is said to be seriously considering to allow android apps to run on both the traditional Windows environment and on the Windows Phone mobile platform.


As per the report by The Verge, the company is extremely serious bringing android applications on Windows Phone platform. However, it also comes to know that inside the company some are not in the favor of this decision as it is a rival platform, so they believe that this could harm the Windows Phone platform.

According to the sources, the report also said that the chipmaker Intel is encouraging the company (Microsoft) to offer android applications on its Windows Store. Providing information on Intel, it already confirmed its dual-OS concept, which will run both Android as well as Windows. As per the reports, “Android is the mobile corresponding of Windows on desktop PCs – it’s everything”.

Moreover, the reports also says that the application developers are more tending towards iOS platform for building new apps while android is the successful smart-phone platform that widely accepted by people worldwide. However, this platform is also best for apps that Microsoft has failed to get till now with Windows Phone, so the company decided to bring android apps on its platform.

As we all know that every application first appear on iOS platform and android is second, while Windows Phone and BlackBerry are at last, so all the users are get disappointed with this. Further, the report also claims that enabling Android support on Windows Phone will come as a band-aid for Microsoft.

One of the most popular software companies ‘BlueStacks’ has also been generating its emulation solution to enable android applications to run seamlessly on Windows, and the company also ships its software with Lenovo and Asus Windows devices. Still, it is not clear that whether this company is in contact with Microsoft for the same or not.

There are some within Microsoft, who believe that the company’s move to allow android applications to run on Windows device prove very beneficial. Such a big move may open up the Windows platforms to thousands of new software options that are not obtainable currently on the company’s devices.
