Former Nokia CEO Aims to Develop Nokia Android Phone, Newkia

Across the world, there are lots of fans of Nokia phones, who were thinking that what could have been if the company clinched its hands with Android, can get their answer from new company that is known as Newkia. When Microsoft purchased Nokia’s device business, a new company Newkia was founded by Thomas Zilliacus, who have worked 15 years for Nokia Company. He was the Finnish Company’s Asia-Pacific for approximately 7 years.

So, all those people, who dreamed of a Nokia Android phone to have some fun, just spice up. The combination of Nokia as well as the best mobile operating system in the world will be wonderful thing as it is more likely than ever. One of the leading investment companies Mobile Future Works that was founded by Zilliacus, tried a lot to purchase Nokia a year ago. He exposed that he was not able to raise adequate funds to complete the deal.

To make his dream come true of Nokia Androdi Phone, Zilliacus also has planned to hire Nokia employees, who also have interest in developing Nokia Android phone. However, he also has some ex-staff on board, but he wants more to hire. Former CEO of Nokia said that “What Newkia wants to do is to use Nokia know-how, technology, and design to build the world's best smartphones, but running on Android”.

There are lots of people in Finland, who are grief the finish of what’s been one of the country’s national icons. He also said that for various, who are passionate like us about mobile technology, the death of Nokia happened a long time ago. Well, there are lots of other people within Nokia, who are not agreed with such direction.

In his interview, he also said that how Nokia missed various successful opportunities as it was conceited because of its primary position in the market. While explaining this point, he also gave an example that Nokia prototype that looked like the iPhone and it was developed years before the first Apple iPhone introduced. He said that the company never launched that product as it thought the market will not take interest, while he still has prototype in his drawer.

Though, Newkia is looking to launch its first phone within one year, still it depends on the funds raised and the employees it is able to hire. He adds that Newkia “can offer consumers what can be new, exciting, and different".
