Take a Look of the First ‘Firefox Phone' - Reveled By Mozilla

Android apps Development
Finally, we got another competitor of Android, the bright orange colored phone. On 22nd January, 2013, a Developer Preview Phone has been introduced by Mozilla, an open-source minded company. This amazing feature-rich device runs on its Firefox operating system, but sorry to say, users won’t be able to purchase as it is a test model for developers.

The brightest look orange device included some of the basic features like a 3 megapixel camera, 512MB of RAM, 1GHz Snapdragon processor, 4GB of internal storage, etc. Additional, Mozilla committee continually simplified with OTA OS updates that may win the heart of the users. It also supposed that carrier-unlocked may make perfect updates for devs looking to get their claws into the Firefox OS.

It is also revealed that the ‘Firefox Phone’ have an expandable storage memory through a micro SD card slot. It makes hope that it offers an option of running apps from swappable memory cards with development, just like Android Development. We cannot recognize the whole storyline of mobile phone with only its specification; we have to move towards its operating system, whether or not it offers smooth development.

Because of massive competition among other mobile operating system, it doesn’t mean that there is no chance for Firefox. There are numerous OEMs adopted by China and South America. Must say, Android platform with its Android App Development still wins the hearts of reputed players like Sony, HTC, Samsung, Motorola, etc.

Commenting of Launch of Developer Preview Phone, Mozilla says, “Developer preview phones will help make the mobile web more accessible to more people. Hundreds of millions of people worldwide use Firefox to discover, experience and connect to the Web. A web based on open standards and open technologies. We couldn’t have done this without web developers.”

He also added, “Now we are working on bringing the power of the web to mobile, through Firefox OS, along with all the power of open standards and an open community, and once again, we’d like to invite web developers to join us.”
