Unlock Your Motorola With 'Digital Tattoos'

New passcode alternative- temporary tattoos are searched by Motorola to unlock phones easily. Now, Moto X owners in the US can easily purchase digital tattoos that allow you to unlock phones without typing in a PIN, announced by Motorola on July 22, 2014.

This idea was introduced by Motorola at last year's D11 conference, however, it is the first time, we have seen actual product on that concept. NFC technology is used in this tattoo that was created by VivaLnk and Google's Advanced Technology and Projects group and it is thin and flexible enough to wear on your skin.

Motorola named as digital tattoos, but they actually look like stickers that are worn on your skin. Adhesive is used to stick these tattoos to your skin and can be peeled off any time you want.

According to Motorola, these waterproof NFC tattoos are of nickel size and designed to last for about five days. If you want to unlock the device instantly, you just have to tap the digital tattoo to the back of your Moto X. See the closer look of tattoo in below image:

Talking about NFC, it stands for Near Field Communications, which is a technology that helps you to share content or achieve certain tasks on your phone with a simple touch to your phone against the sensor.

Previously, NFC created into Android phones like Moto X and Samsung Galaxy S5. Users can also share pictures with another NFC-enabled phone by tapping just two phones together continuous. Users can purchase a pack of 10 tattoos for $9.99.

Android L Comes With Big Camera Plans & Source Code

Android, one of the leading operating systems, crosses form factors and niches to become the end product for Google. Android L is next in the queue with the form factor that started it all. Some of the latest news is available about camera software heading our way on Android L. As the camera of smartdevice have been moved away from being throw away snappers to get real alternatives to shoots and points, which is better for software.

One of the best cameras requires including in software that compete for best digital snappers. Once, one can get their hands on Android L, they will implement their own software touches. The stock Android effort has always felt a little lacking when it is put beside OEM created camera software, which is why the snapper on Nexus devices is always among those handsets' flaws.

Google is hoping for delivering a robust experience for stock Android users along with providing OEM's more reason to use the stock software when creating their handsets. All thanks to increased compatibility between the lens and the software as Google is going to cranking up the performance of the Android L camera API that result into better image quality and potential video capture of 30FPS at full resolution.

The Nexus 5 is used by Google with the handset that can easily capture 30FPS with the 8 megapixel lens, and of course, better performance as compare to Android 4.4 KitKat. Android L software is available with tools like ISO customization, burst mode, HDR+, etc.
Another thing is you can find source code for Android L that posted by Google and can be available at Google's Android Git repo page. With this Android release, we found source code that is compatible with all current and older Nexus devices. That simply means you can easily update this latest version in 2012 and 2013 versions of the LTE and Wi-Fi Nexus 7, the Nexus 4 and 5 smartphones, and Nexus 10 tablet built by Samsung.

Google has subtracted a few things like kernel source and binary packages as Android L is still at the stage of being a developer preview. Let’s see what happen when Android comes out of the developer preview.

Affordable Cardboard VR Headset by Google for Developers

A makeshift VR headset for the MyTouch 3G was constructed by a fella from Recombu by using only tape and scissors in 2009. It was Rob Jackson, who came up with an idea of changing the way of using Android devices. Sundar Pichai, an Android leader, announced that the LG G Watch, Samsung Gear Live, and Motorola Moto 360 will get a cardboard box, which is capable of transforming an Android device into a full-fledged VR headset.

A phone slips into the provided slot after folding the box together and sort of virtual reality environment is created by the eye holes when using the companion app. Check out below given video for more information.

Cardboard was developed as one of the part of Google’s own “20 Percent” project through which employees can spent their 20% of time on the other project. These days, VR headsets of Google are in high demand due to its low-cost price.

Developers are also encouraged by Google as it comes with their own VR apps that use their experimental SDK and posting their experience online with #cardboard hashtag. One can also join up with the Google+ community to know updates. For more information, visit https://developers.google.com/cardboard/
